My recent jaunt to the 6 (Toronto, for the uninitiated) included wondrous and diverse activities.
My Chipotle obsession continued. Three visits during my five-day stay. Unsurprisingly, my beloved first-place (at the time) Red Sox lost in spectacular fashion. Always great to be kitted out in full Sox regalia while being chirped by 50,000 petulant bandwagon-jumping Jays fans.
After a long, rain-soaked wait to see the baby pandas, they seemed unaware of my imminent arrival and chose to nap. I did get to gaze through the looking-glass at adorable black-and-white fur balls.
If you tried to trap the mood of the city in one dish, it would be the Sichuan Noodles at Momofuku. Piquant, crisp, brimming with excitement and always scrumptious. Or, it could have been that Queen B was in the house! The intensity of the concert was transcending and is an experience that stays with me still. How much joy can the human psyche withstand before exploding? There are no words. Although, if there were words, they would be “jaw-dropping,” “mesmerizing,” “masterful,” “lavish,” “revelatory,” soul awakening” and just plain “glorious.”
Raptors, ball games, pandas and Bey; Toronto was the place to be—and I was there. Enjoy the curated pictorial below!

Momofuku Toronto – 190 University Avenue

Pork buns – hoisin, scallion, cucumber

Momofuku Milk – crack pie

“Jurassic Park” – Day
